Online Packaging Boosts Sales Drive in West Yorkshire

Online Packaging Wakefield has appointed Chris Johnson to the newly created role of area sales manager developing existing and new business.

Reporting directly to Online Packaging’s director Roger Lawty, Chris will be responsible for expanding business by introducing the company’s complete packaging supply management proposition to its industrial and manufacturing sector.

Formerly an internal sales coordinator with Tyco Plastics based in Brighouse, Online Packaging was one of Chris’ largest customers for more than a year. In that time he built a solid relationship with the company and became familiar with its work practices. When the opportunity to work with the Wakefield team arose, he jumped at the chance.

Chris explained: “Accepting the role with Online Packaging was an easy decision. I knew its reputation within the industry was justified from first hand experience. The level of service and expertise it delivers to each and every customer is completely unique to the industry and I’m proud to be part of that. It’s a big challenge but promises equally big rewards.”

Roger said: “Chris has the exact combination of skills and experience we are looking for. Not only does he appreciate the service we deliver to our customers, he has the energy and drive to make a significant contribution to our business. I’m sure he will be a great success in the area.”

In his spare time Chris is an avid climber and kite boarder. He also enjoys Thai boxing and playing the drums.

Online Packaging will move from its current location on Monkton Road, Wakefield to its new 16,000 square foot state of the art distribution centre located in Valencia Park at the Europort Estate, Castleford in July.
