Charities given a hand to wrap things up before Christmas

Every business experiences it – the last minute rush to deliver in the run up to Christmas.  This year, Gloucester-based Online Packaging is giving a local charity a helping hand.

Online Packaging would like to donate the use of one of its lorries and a driver for the day to a local needy cause.  Gloucestershire charities which would benefit from a day’s free transport are invited to let Online Packaging know how it could help them with their deliveries by submitting a brief explanation of what they do and how Online Packaging could help. Submissions will be accepted until Friday 10 December at 5:00pm. The best submission wins.

Chris Hutchens, founder and managing director, says:  “We all know what it’s like keeping the supply chain going, especially around the holidays.  If a charity could use a lorry for a day to make deliveries or move goods in the Gloucestershire region, we’d like to help.  Interested organisations should contact us and explain what they do and how we can help.”

Chris is used to getting involved in charity events, having recently completed the Five Valleys Walk for the Meningitis Trust and The Ultimate Endurance Challenge in South Africa where he raised £3,500 for Children Today.

The offer is open to registered charities in Gloucestershire.  For further information and a request form, please contact Malia on 01242 245789 and mention Online Packaging’s Christmas Offer.
